THE OPEN GROUP ANNOUNCES JAVA ENHANCED VERSION OF TETWARE TEST FRAMEWORK
Latest release of TETware features enhanced and integrated Java language binding to enable distributed cross-platform Java testing.MENLO PARK, California, January 31, 2000 - The Open Group(, a vendor and technology-neutral consortium dedicated to enterprise interoperability, today announced the availability of TETware 3.4, the latest release of the Test Environment Toolkit, a multi-platform test framework.
This latest release provides a Java testing environment that permits the development of Java applications with test classes. Once implemented, these classes can be automatically exercised by the test case manager, communicating with TETware's test case controller using the standard mechanisms.
"The full integration of Java testing into TETware will provide developers of Java based solutions with access to a flexible and proven testing tool," said Allen Brown, President and CEO of The Open Group. "Developers will now be able to reduce the development cycles for their Java products, providing them with a faster time to market and their customers with greater confidence in a better quality product."
TETware is being used in a wide diversity of automated testing applications, ranging from standards API conformance testing, performance and stress testing, verification of secure electronic transactions, to regression testing of distributed cross platform applications.
